In 2010, Mr. Morse began working with The Human Collective as a volunteer, and later as a manager and director. Although Mr. Morse does not use cannabis, he was drawn to it after his wife was diagnosed with a debilitating disease. It provided great relief for her symptoms, and to this day allows her to go about her daily life more comfortably. Not finding many choices for safe access to the medicine, Mr. Morse was inspired to help develop The Human Collective further. It has now become the State of Oregon’s model for medicinal marijuana dispensaries. He, along with Sarah Bennet, worked tirelessly throughout 2012 and 2013 to help enact HB 3690. This bill requires the State of Oregon to license and regulate medical marijuana dispensaries for patients.
For the past year, Mr. Morse has served as director of The Oregon Business Council and has been an important part of negotiating and passing this years legislation. As director, he works to further the needs of the Cannabis Industry.
